Haul and First Impressions!

I recently held a poll on Twitter as I couldn't decide what post to upload, my July Faves or a haul as I've done quite a lot of retail therapy lately, so I turned to you and the haul post was most voted for!

Like I said, I have done a lot of retail therapy lately, so I though in this post I'd include mainly beauty/skincare related items and tell you my first impressions on them!

This was a bit of an impulse buy if I'm honest. I have ginger hair but I have a blond ombre thing going on, and this peach colour looked amazing, so I thought I'd try it out on my hair!
First impression? Not for gingers! Haha! It did change my blonde hair but it just blended in with my natural hair colour so it just looked like I'd had the blonde taken out of my hair! Luckily it washes out, I definitely think this would be fab for people who are blonde all over though!

I was dying to get my hands on the new Zoella range, and I'll be honest, it was literally only because of how pretty the packaging was! The pastels and everything ugh, honestly a bloggers dream when it comes to products to photograph!

I mean, come on, how cute?! The straw and everything, whoever did the designing for the new range gets a round of applause from me! All the products also have the same scent which is 'Elderflower and Pomegranate' too.

First impressions? It's a no from me.
I love Zoe, but honestly, this is the most disappointing product range I've tried from her. My main issue is the scent. It literally smells like Grandma's. It's such a mature, marmite type of smell (you're either gonna love it or hate it). I'm so surprised she picked something so risky.
Also, given the price, I actually don't think you get a lot of product, and the quality is the same of that you could get in Superdrug's own branded stuff.
Turns out I prefer Elderflower in my gin, not in my skincare.

Because I'm so lazy, I looooove sheet masks! They're so easy and quick to use! So I decided to stock up on some!
I picked up a few of the 'green ones' from the Garnier Moisture Bomb range, as they're perfect for my skin type. I've actually been using these for a while, and their definitely my favourite sheet mask!
The second I got was another impulse buy. I was on the Beauty Bay website and saw that they stocked Oh K! which is a Korean brand, and I've wanted to try their bits for aaages, but their facemasks are £6 each which is a bit too pricey for me, but when I saw it had a panda on the packaging I clicked add to basket haha! I actually haven't tried this yet, have any of tried this brand? Do you think their products are worth the price tag?

This isn't beauty or skincare, but I had to include because it's so damn cute and I can imagine a few of you may want to pick one up!
This is a trinket dish that I picked up off Amazon! I got it to use for my blog photos, its so so cute! It's white with a thin pink outline and says 'Oh, you pretty thing' what's not to love?!

A lot of bloggers have been sent the T-Zone products as part of PR packages, unfortunately I wasn't but I have read so many great reviews that I decided to buy some of their bits off Superdrug!
I love nose strips but I hate paying for the Biore ones, they're so extortionate!
So, seeing I could get 12 of these for like almost 1/3 of the price, I couldn't not get them! All of their products are charcoal and bamboo, which I love! And the nose strips are amazing! They do just as good a job as the Biore ones!

I've seen bits from Technic around on bloggers instagrams, and then when my brothers girlfriend told me this is the foundation she uses, I decided I had to get some.
First impressions? I love the stuff! Considering the price is quite low, the product is so so impressive, I've worn it a few times now and I pick it over my Maybelline, Rimmel, Max Factor, Revlon etc. every time! The main reason I love this stuff is because the coverage is amazing but it still feels light weight on your face!
I also picked up Maybelline's Fit Me concealer, and I have to say, this stuff could be a rival on Collections Lasting Perfection for me! I really like it!

I also picked up some more expensive foundations to try, as I'm still on search for that holy grail! They are both La Roche-Posay products, and were both just over £15 each.
First impressions? SO CLOSE OMG. I love the smaller bottle, it's a mousse constancy, but when it says it blurs, it BLURS. My pores are practically invisible when I use this. The only issue I have is that it is quite orange, I really have to rub it into my skin, and you can still slightly tell there is a bit of a shade difference.
The bigger white bottle is more of like a tinted moisturiser, but again, it does the same job as the mousse foundation, it blurs those pores and imperfections, and its SO light weight with it being a moisturiser type of product, and the shade is a lot better than the mousse too!

One of my amazing blogging girls (Amy ) reviewed the Wunderbrow, and as she is also a fellow ginge, when I saw she loved this, I knew I had to pick it up.
First impressions? This stuff is amazing. It's 100% worth the £20 price tag, there's so much pigment, it doesn't budge at all, and you get so much product! This is now my go to brow product.

L'Oreal are killing it lately in my opinion, and I saw on the Superdrug website that they had bought a whole Nudes range of their Lip Paints, so I picked two of them up! Now, as you can see in the above photo, they are very similar shades, but you can never have too many nude lipsticks, am I right?

First impressions? I really like these! They're super creamy, and the shades go so well with my pale skin which is a dream! They well pigmented too! I'll definitely be picking up more of these!

You'll probably recognise this palette, as it's been out for quite a while, it's the MUR blush palette. Now I was one of those people that never wore blush, but when I saw my bestie had this pretty pink glow to her face, I asked her what it was, and she said it was this palette.

First impression? I am in love. This palette is so so gorgeous, all the shades have a slight shimmer to them which I love, and there are so many shades to choose from! I'd even use the lighter ones as highlighter too!

I love Morphe. Who doesn't love Morphe? High quality eyeshadow palettes that are all under £25? I'll one of everything please.
While on Beauty Bay, I picked up two Morphe palletes. The first is the Bronzed Mocha (25b) palette.

Swatch time!

And I also got the Copper Spice (25a) palette, as I couldn't chose between them both!

As you can see, and as usual, they're both pigmented, they have all the shades you'd need to create all the looks, they have a mixture of mattes and foils, and ugh they're just beautiful.

Well, this has been a bit of a long post, but I hope some of you saw something you liked! Do you have anything I've mentioned here? Let me know in the comments!

  4. Love post! Morphe palettes are my favourite but haven't tried these ones yet, but they look gorgeous. Also that trinket dish is flat lay goals. Such a shame about the Zoella range, surprisingly I enjoy it - maybe I'm a grandma at heart?

  9. I am so glad you was honest about the new Zoella range. I haven't actually had chance to try the scent out yet, and was just going to order it online. But because of the scent I don't think I am going to bother! I only really like sweet scents, and this isn't going to do it for me! I love the little trinket dish aswell, it's super cute!xo

  10. I deff loved the swatches of the two Morphe palettes! I saw they were on sale recently and was thinking of buying them, but decided not to, because I technically didn't really need them, but they look so lovely! I can't wait to see what kinds of eye looks you end up doing xxx

  11. First of all your pictures have gotten so beautiful babe! I'm in love! I'm sad to hear you didn't love Zoe's products, I really want to love it because of the packaging, but the scent is scaring me away from buying! The L'Oréal lip colors also look incredible, as do the nose strips!

Glad you chose to do a haul post!
