Slimming World Recipes: Slimming World Chips

My first recipe post! How exciting!
For my first post I will be covering how to make Slimming World Chips - which I actually prefer to normal shop bought chips!

What you'll need:
  • 2-3 medium sized Maris Piper potatoes
  • Frylight
  • Seasoning (optional)
  • Baking tray, colander, knife, potato peeler, tin foil

Method:

Preheat your oven to about 200-220°C
  1. Peel your potatoes and remove any blemishes as you see fit, then slice into no bigger than 1-1.5cm rectangles.
  2. Fill a large saucepan with water, season (salt, pepper) and boil. Cook the chips in this for around 5-7 minutes.
  3. Drain the chips in your colander, and gently shake them to soften and 'fluff up' the edges (this is important so that the chips go more crispy/have more texture)
  4. Cover your baking tray with the tin foil, cover with your frylight and any seasoning (i use salt and garlic pepper), then place in the preheated over for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chips are golden brown.

And that's it! Yummy, tasty, syn free chips! Now you can add whatever seasoning you like, and if I'm in the mood for something a little more naughty, then I will add a drizzle of oil to the chips when they've been in the oven for a bit!
But it's completely up to you how you! I hope you enjoyed this recipe!

I'm hoping to upload one a week, alongside my regular beauty posts.

Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried these, or would do anything different! I'd love to know.

  2. Slimming world chips are the bees knees! I always get garlic salt from the herbs and spices section at the supermarket and use that on them although my breath is gross the next day. Worth it!
