My Slimming World Journey: An Update

If you have followed my blog/twitter for a while, you'll know that I have been attempting Slimming World since last year (on and off).
You can read my original post all about it here

Basically, since that original post about SW, I left, and in the space of 6 weeks I gained over a stone in weight.

It got to the point that I couldn't even go to the shops and buy clothes without crying, I even missed my boyfriend's birthday celebrations.
So, something had to change, and I rejoined Slimming World.

I have now managed to lose 8 pounds in a month. The first half a stone in just over two weeks. I could have easily lost a full stone had I put my mind to it, but sometimes life gets in the way.
Not only have I lost quite a bit of weight, but I am eating so much better, drinking lots more water, and I am starting to feel happier.

I still have bad days, hell I even have bad weekends. I can sit and binge on crappy food, and I feel awful for it after. So I just make sure that I repeat to myself, that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. And like a good friend told me, I'm allowed to slip up. We're human after all, mistakes are kinda our thing right?

I am going to be posting recipe ideas once a week on my blog, and whether you follow Slimming World or not, they're just good in general to improve your eating habits, so I thought I would share them with you all.
I'll also be posting updates around once every two weeks on my blog in terms of my actual weight loss. And eventually, I'll include pictures of before and after.

Basically, I have around 4 stone to lose, and I can't wait for this change, and I hope you can all join on this journey with me.

You can follow my Instagram (ktlgh) and Twitter (ktlgh) for more frequent updates and photos.

Let me know in the comments if you're doing Slimming World, or even just trying to eat better and be a healthier you! I'd love to hear about it all.

Kt x

  2. I know how difficult it is to make the lifestyle change in your diet. I myself basically live off chocolate and pizza, even though I'm not trying to loose weight. I still find it difficult to stop myself, so I do understand in the whole guilt area. It's a horrible feeling.
Keep going and you will do it, just have faith. It's so awful to feel insecure about your body, I've many a story's I could tell you of my own. Your not alone on this don't worry.

Looking forward to seeing what recipes you post, will be checking in to read them X

    1. Oh thank you!
I agree the guilt is horrible, I just try to remember that it happens and I can't spend the whole week feeling bad about it.
I'm sorry you've felt it all, it's not nice to feel uncomfortable in your own skin.

Thank you! I'll aim to post once a week 💛
