My everyday makeup routine | Budget Beauty

As a person who now has to pay bills - every single month, who knew? - I know how hard it is to keep up with all these expensive brands with all their beautiful products that promise impossible things.

So, I made it my mission to find high street makeup items that work just as well, but for a fraction of the price. So, without further ado - my current makeup routine.

Base

The first thing I apply is my 'L'Oreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base Primer'.
I have super oily skin, and this is the closest I have found to the perfect primer that makes my makeup last most of the day!
It's super smooth and easy to apply, and makes such a huge difference to the longevity of your makeup!

Next, I apply the 'L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24HR-Matte Foundation'. Now this stuff makes some bold claims (24 hours? Yeah, right), however, I can say this stuff is the best I've found for my makeup staying matte! And it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all! I would say for me it lasts between 6 & 8 hours.

Concealer

Concealer is a god send, am I right? I love the stuff! And my everyday go to are definitely these two beauties above!

I have always used the 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' and have found it lasts so much better than Benefit's, Too Faced etc. and it's super bright! This stuff is amazing, and it's also recommend by pretty much every YouTube personality out there!

I have also recently started using the 'Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer' on my under eye area too! I actually wouldn't say this is as good as the Collection Lasting Perfection, and it does oxidise the tiniest bit, but it for some reason works with my everyday makeup, it brightens the face, has very good coverage, and feels so light weight!

Eyes

If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or have me on Facebook, you'll know that I pretty much came out of the womb wearing eyeliner. I love the stuff - and you'll probably never see me without it!

The one I use in my everyday makeup is the 'Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel Liner'.
This is literally an exact dupe for Benefit's 'They're Real' eyeliner. And for about half the price, it does the exact same job! It's so easy to use, super black, and super long lasting! My absolute favourite thing to use!

As for mascara, I'm currently trying to use up the 'L'Oreal False Last Superstar XFiber Mascara'. This stuff is okay, not the greatest, but it does the job.
I'm yet to find a mascara I love enough to not wear false lashes! So if you have any recommendations for my stumpy lashes, please let me know in the comments!

Eyebrows

This is probably going to sound rather weird, but I actually use this really cheap £3 contour kit from Amazon for my eyebrows!
As a redhead, I find it really hard to find anything for my brows in a colour that matches my hair!
Alas, after finding out about this through Instagram, I don't use anything else! The second colour down on the fifth column is a perfect match for my hair, and it lasts all day on my brows!
If you would like the link to this, let me know!

Finish

I currently use 'Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder'. I picked this up after hearing so many bloggers raving about it!
It works well with the right foundation (like the one I mentioned at the beginning of the post), however, if you use this with a foundation that isn't for a matte finish, this doesn't last longer than a couple of hours, and you will have to top it up.
BUT if you don't have super oily skin like me, this will probably be a very good buy for you!

For contour/bronzing, I absolutely love MUR's 'Shimmer Brick'. It has a nice little range of colours, and lasts very well on the skin! And it has a slight glow! I use it everyday without fail!

For highlight, I use MUR's 'Baked Highlighter' in 'Peach Lights'. This stuff is amazing! An absolute steal too! It glows on the skin, and has the cutest little pinkish hue! If you don't own one of these, go buy one!

The setting spray I'm currently using is the 'Nyx Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray'.
As I have to use a lot of matte products because of my oily skin, I find this is good for adding a nice dewy finish, but still helping my makeup last! They also have this in a matte finish too!

Lastly, Lipstick!

I always use a nude lipstick, and the Kate selection from Rimmel have almost every shade you may need! Purple tones, pink tones, brown tones, you name it! I'm a big fan of these and I use one everyday to finish off my makeup.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Everything on here can be found on Boots or Superdrug! Superdrug also have a 3 for 2 offer on L'Oreal products at the moment too, so you know where you should be right now...right?

Plus, every product mentioned in this post is £10 or under! So, this is part 1 of budget beauty.

Thanks for reading, stay peachy!
