L'Oreal Fiber Lash Mascara Review

I've recently ordered quite a few new beauty products to try, and one of the ones I was most excited for was the new 'L'Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar X Fiber Mascara' (they really need to shorten that name).
Boots have this in at the moment for £7.99, but this is the introductory price, it will be going up to £10.99 after this period.
Now, it claims to provide 'extreme length, extreme volume, and extreme build-ability' but all I can confirm is that it definitely excelled in the extreme disappointment area.

First, the packaging is a little bit bigger than your average mascara, and the both brushes are attached to the black section in the middle, and the purple parts contain the product. One side has the number '1' on and the other has the number '2'. This is so you know that, 1 is the 'primer' and 2 is the fibers.

The 'step 1' brush, I'm assuming, is the standard superstar mascara brush/product. You're suppose to apply a layer of this before step 2.

Now, as you can see the brush for the fiber mascara is slightly curved, and you can see the little fibers attached to the brush. You're supposed to apply the step 2 brush while the mascara (step 1) is still wet.

This is me without any eye makeup on (apologies). And as you can see I have very fair/blonde eyelashes, which makes them hardly visible at all, and they are also very short (i live in false eyelashes).

I applied one coat of the fiber mascara to my left eye, and a coat of my everyday mascara on the right eye.

As you can see, there is a difference, the fibers have made my lashes longer. However, I would not personally build these up, as I can image your lashes will become quite clumpy.
While I agree the mascara adds a little length, I don't personally thing it adds much volume. And for the claims that it is an alternative to falsies, I am a little disappointed.

In all fairness to the product, I didn't curl my eyelashes prior, as I wanted to see the unaltered results, so I think if I had, they would have looked longer, but still, not much on the volume side.

Have any of you guys tried this product yet? Is there something you could recommend to get better results? Let me know in the comments!

And, as always, stay peachy x

  1. I agree that it hasn't made massive amount of change, but it does still look nice.
I've had the problem with clumping mascara on other L'oreal mascaras in the past, in the end I started using Lancome ones as they give great volume and really seperate your lashes out!

  2. You looks so pretty and Your loreal fiber lash mascara review is really awesome. Thanks to share this beautiful Mascara review. It's really helpful for eye makeups.I believe makeup is an important part of women's life and a perfect lipstick gives a great look of hole makeup. I love to use this loreal fiber lash mascara for my eye and my favorite Liquid Matte Lipsticks for my lip. I can't imagine a single day without my makeups.
