Love List

2 November 2016

The 1st of November is the day that my lovely boyfriend officially asked me to be his girlfriend.

It took 3 months of 'dating' but he eventually got there, and he has managed to survive a whole year with me! Props to Daniel.

And, what better way to celebrate than going out for a fancy meal! Before I dive into what we both had, there will be a little bit on what I wore make-up and clothes wise, for those of you that are more into beauty than food!

My boyfriend booked a table for us at the Crab & Cow (check out their facebook page here) located in Leicester.

Now, I have never actually been to a more 'fancy' restaurant before, given that most of my food ends up being dropped down myself than actually into my mouth, you can see why I tend to avoid nicer places! But nether the less, I was super excited to go!

As for what I wore, I ordered this lovely white (yep, white, what was I thinking?) dress from River Island. Its rather tight fitting on the bottom with a blouse type caped sleeves on the top half.
Being on the curvier side, I was a bit apprehensive when I tried this one, but it wasn't as unflattering as I thought it would be. So I rocked it with my black leather jacket and some black ankle boots.

For my face, I created a subtle smokey eye using the Nudes palette by Maybelline, which is one of my all time favourite palettes, and super affordable! You can pick this up here

Our table was booked for half 7, and I chose the Tomato and Goats cheese Risotto dish, while Dan had the Fish and Chips. Both meals were amazing, super tasty, great portions, the foot just seemed to melt in your mouth! (They also weren't too expensive, £14 for my dish, and £15 for Dans).

I also could not leave without trying their desert! As the main dishes were super filling, we opted for the 'Assiette of Mini Deserts' which was a plaque of sorts filled with 4 different deserts from their menu! At £8.50 I honestly think this was an absolute steal!

As you will see in the picture below, the carrot cake came in a little plant pot, in an almost 'deconstructed' kind of presentation, with edible flowers and leaf on the top! There was also the Chocolate Brownie (mine and Dan's personal favourite), a small slice of what we believe to be some kind of toffee or caramel desert, a small chocolate bowl of ice cream, and a Creme Brulee!

I had such an amazing night, and I consider myself super lucky to have a person like my boyfriend in my life.
And, if you ever find yourself in Leicester, please go and check out the Crab & Cow!

As always, stay peachy x
