If you saw my very first post, you'll know that I picked up the Sleek 'Precious Metals' pallet and Nyx's 'Soft Focus' primer.

These were both new products to me, having never tried them before, so I've decided to do a little review on them both for you lovely people.

First up is the 'Soft Focus' primer from Nyx:

As stated in my original post on this one, I was originally after the
pore filler by Nyx, but they were out of stock so one of the sales
assistants recommended this to me.

The packaging was simple which I love about Nyx's products, it has a little button on the front which opens it up and under the product is an application sponge.

I decided to do a before and after shot for you all, but please excuse my makeup less face!

I'm hoping you can all see (I'm not the best at photography so please bare with me) but this primer does such a good job at hiding pores, I'm amazed! I think I've definitely found my new go to primer!
As for how it does with making make up last on my face, I'm not sure if it's the change up in skin care, products, or this little beauty, but my make up is definitely lasting a lot longer than it used too! So something must be working!

'Precious Metals' pallet by Sleek:

I have been on the hunt for a highlighting/bronzing pallet that gets on with my skin tone for as long as I can remember!
Being pale can be a nightmare when it comes to shopping for make up, and this latest trend of bronzing and conturing was my worst nightmare!

I spotted this pallet while out shopping and the tones of the highlights were just so pretty! And looked super pigmented!

Here's some photos I took of me wearing the darkest powder colour  and the highlighting colour on my cheekbones!

The lighter colours are a creamy consistency, whereas the bronzing colour is a powder.
In this photo I didn't use too much because I was still playing around with he pallet, but I can honestly say that this is one of the best things I've picked up in a long while! You can use a small
amount, or more, depending on what look you're going for, but all
the shades are so pigmented! And best yet, they last all day!

The only thing I can fault with this one is the brush that comes with it. I used it once and the bristles fell out all over my face! But other than that, I'll definitely be purchasing this one again!

  1. Great post lovely! I've been after a Sleek highlighting palette for a while and this one looks so nice! I think I'm going for the Solstice one. :)
